Chris Robinson

Chris RobinsonAssociate Pastor of Youth and Families

The Reverend Dr. Chris Tyler Robinson is an ordained minister in the EPC and has previously served as an associate minister at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas, as well as Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Georgia. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of South Carolina, a Masters of Divinity degree at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia and his Bachelors degree at Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana.

Before coming to Signal Mountain Presbyterian, he was a sociology professor at the University of South Carolina and served as a part-time youth pastor at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church in Columbia.  He enjoys running and playing golf as hobbies.

Chris has a deep desire to understand the family structure as a Holy institution established by God and to incorporate God’s plan for that family structure within the church and beyond. This is what led Chris to further his studies into the area of sociology and the way that today’s culture has impacted family life. It was the incorporation of the key element of "family" in the position description that attracted Chris to this role at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and he considers it a key part of God’s leading him to us as a church body.  If you would like to contact Chris, email him at crobinson@signalpres.org

Chris and his wife have two children.
