Dr. Paul David Smith, Executive Principal, The Howard School

Born in Washington, DC, Dr. Smith studied at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga, Aenon College, Trevecca University, and Covington Theological Seminary. His bachelor’s degree is in Secondary Education with certifications in history, social science, and administration. He holds two master’s degree – in Administration and in Ethnic Studies. He received a Doctor of Ministry degree and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Administration.

He is the Executive Principal of The Howard School in Chattanooga and has given quality leadership in transforming the setting for learning and developing a community of care for students. He believes and directs that educators should reach, teach, and nurture in order to foster success in others. The goals he espouses in his everyday service is unity and excellence.

Dr. Smith also serves as the Administrator and Music Director at the Greater Emmanuel (City of Life) Church. He is married and they have two children.
