The CARE (Care And Respite for Everyone) Ministry was created to demonstrate the love of Jesus to members of our church and our community by caring for families with children who have Special Needs. Our desire is to not only include but embrace families who have children with Special Needs by enabling families to attend church together and enjoy some respite care.
Our CARE ministry consists of four programs:
Our nursery program cares for children aged birth to three years old. It is our fervent desire that children of all abilities feel welcome. We want every child to have the best experience possible when they are in nursery. Therefore, we ask parents of children having Special Needs to contact the Nursery Coordinator so a plan paving the way for proper care can be arranged for their first visit.
Nursery is provided without a reservation during the Sunday School hour, the Worship services, monthly Sunday evening healing service, and Wednesday night programming. Nursery is available for special events by reservation only. Please see Childcare for more information about making nursery reservations.

Barnabas was known as the Encourager. A Barnabas Buddy is a loving volunteer who will encourage and help a child stay on task during existing Children’s programming.
Barnabas Buddies are available during the Sunday School hour, Agape Club on Wednesday nights, and Vacation Bible School.

“I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle, be patient bearing with one another in love” Ephesians 4:1-2
“…the LORD is a strong tower..” ~ Proverbs 18:10
The Tower Room provides a structured environment for children 4 years and older where trained and paid employees show the love of Jesus through individualized, competent, loving care for children who prefer a calmer atmosphere. The Tower Room is open during the Sunday School hour, 10:40 AM Worship Service, Wednesday night programs, and by reservation for special events.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
Our respite care program is called Night Owls (Night Out With Loving Sitters). For eight months of the year, on the first Friday of that month, trained volunteers provide an evening of care and fun for children with special needs AND their siblings (up to age 12). This allows parents to enjoy a night out together with the knowledge that their children are in a safe, nurturing environment. Each child who participates is assigned a volunteer who provides individualized care for that child. Together, they participate in pre-planned activities and events according to the child’s interest. A nurse is present to assist with any medical needs. An off-duty policeman is present to insure security and a quick emergency response if necessary.

“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35
